THE INVICTUS HEALTHCARE PATIENT PROCESS

Non-operative evaluation and treatment are usually done in the Invictus Healthcare offices. Office procedure examples include cast and splint application, injections into the shoulder, hip, ankle, and knee, and/or specialized bracing.

Surgeries will be done at one of the local hospitals in which our doctors have surgery priveledges. Our Surgeons perform numerous types of surgery. Some of the more common procedures include the following: arthroscopy by using special cameras and equipment to visualize and treat problems inside a joint, internal fixation which holds broken pieces of bone in the proper position with metal plates, pins or screws while the bone is healing, joint replacement which can be partial, total or revision to correct an arthritic or damaged joint by replacing it with an artificial joint called a prosthesis, and soft tissue repair which includes mending of soft tissue such as torn tendons or ligaments.
