MRI

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) produces images that give medical practitioners a detailed look into what could be causing your pain. The MRI utilizes a magnetic field and computer-generated radio waves to create detailed images of your body's soft tissue.

MRI scans are critical for our providers to accurately diagnose and develop customized treatment plans to get you on the road to recovery sooner.

At Invictus, we offer MRIs with and without contrast as well as arthrograms. We also offer anesthesia to patients that would prefer to be sedated.

It is important to note that patients will not be exposed to radiation during an MRI.

Certain medical implants may not be compatible with an MRI, so please notify our staff if you have any.

WHAT TO EXPECT

When you arrive for your MRI appointment, you will be greeted by one of our friendly radiology technicians who will walk you into the MRI waiting area. Your radiology tech will ask you to remove any metal objects from your body and place it in a secure, locked cabinet. If you wear any clothing with metal, your tech will ask you to change into a pair of medical clothing that is compatible with the MRI machine.

Whether you're an Invictus patient or an outside referral, we will process and receive authorization from your insurance carrier before your MRI is scheduled.

We also offer cash-pay options with payment plans available.

ANESTHESIA FOR MRI

We offer anesthesia for MRIs for patients that feel uncomfortable receiving a scan and would prefer to be lightly sedated.

This is a cash-pay option and can be scheduled for patients if their practitioner indicates that it would be medically appropriate to do so.
